Along the Seixe river to Ocexeixe and to the beach

On this route you mainly cycle on asphalted, small paths. Enjoy the views of the Monchique Mountains. You ride through small, original villages, where you have the chance to see a herd of sheep. You cycle on a gravel track through a hilly area, surrounded by cork oak forests, until you reach the river "Seixe", where you can enjoy a unique flora and fauna. Next, you go to the wonderful village of Odeceixe and to one of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve "Praia de Odeceixe". Afterwards you can enjoy some breathtaking views of the Atlantic and you will get to know the small stone beach "Barradinha", which is very often deserted even in the summer.

The natural coast of Rogil

On this tour you will get to know one of the most natural and deserted coastlines in the Algarve. You will have the opportunity to discover some breathtaking beaches, which mostly are completely empty. There are numerous small paths on the cliffs that you must also explore.  You will get to know the levadas (water channels).The island of Madeira is famous for these irrigation channels, but they are also available in southwestern Portugal. You ride partly through flat landscape with panoramic views of the Atlantic and the Monchique mountains. The route crosses farmland and pine forests. The, for this area famous, sweet potatoes are also growing here. Typical for this tour are the numerous herds of cattle and sheep. Finally, you will reach the unique valley of Amoreira. This beach is not as remote as all the others. But you have a nice cafe and a guarded beach there. In addition, you can also take a cool bath in the river that flows into the sea. 

 The hills of Carrascalinho and Rogil's Atlantic views

This tour combines a circular route of the Rota Vicentina in the romantic, hilly landscape of Carrascalinho with the panoramic view of the Atlantic in Rogil. You have unique views of the Monchique Mountains. You will cycle through lonely landscapes, where you also have the chance to meet shepherds with their herds. You see beautiful forests and small lakes. You will cycle through the small town of Aljezur with the historic old town. After that you ride along a river, then it goes uphill, where you can enjoy the views of the Atlantic. Finally you get to know one of the most beautiful beaches in the region, where you can take a bath or just enjoy the sunset.

Countryside of Aljezur and Rogil

An easy route where you drive mainly on paved road. First it leads to an idyllic small country road in the hilly area of Carrasalinho. Always along a riverbed, you drive past cow herds, fruit trees, cork oaks and pine forests. Later, the landscape flatten and you find yourself in the traditional Portuguese agriculture. The sweet potatoes, which are famous for this area, are also grown here. You will also get to know the levadas (irrigation channels). The island of Madeira is famous for these channels, but they are also in southwestern Portugal. Enjoy the panoramic view of the Monchique Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. You will also pass 2 beaches. The Praia da Carriagem, which is most of the time deserted and has impressive rock formations. If you want to swim, do it better on the next beach Praia da Amoreira. Here you will also find a nice cafe and the beach is supervised in the summer-time. Finally it goes through the romantic old town of Aljezur. You will see the ruins of the castle, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the area.
